Bev Eert
Dear
fellow citizens of Area A,
By stopping the Cable Bay annexation this summer I
proved that I don't just talk about issues, I dig in and
get the job done. This same conviction is present in
every aspect of my life.
My experience in architecture, planning and construction
plus my unwavering commitment to community and
environment are already reflected in my home and
lifestyle. I am uniquely prepared to be your next
Director.
Elect a fresh face with plenty of energy and enthusiasm.
Elect a person of vision and action. On November 15,
vote for a strong voice and open governance.
Sincerely,
Bev Eert

As part of the November Elections the
Regional District of Nanaimo has a referendum on the
"Action for Water"
Action
for Water is a proposed new service for the RDN
Electoral Areas focused on providing improved management
and increased security of ground and surface water
resources. This proposed service area must be approved
by the electorate in order to provide the legal basis
and funding required to allow the Action for Water
program to proceed.
There will be a referendum on the establishment of the
proposed service area on November 15th as part of the
Local Government Elections.
Population growth in the region along with existing land
uses continues to put pressure on ground and surface
water sources which impacts our watersheds and drinking
water. These impacts have already led to negative
changes in many watersheds and reduced and or
contaminated ground water sources in a number of areas
throughout the region.
